Consigning Guidelines

Appointments & Walk-ins: 

Walk-ins may be accepted for 5 or fewer items, Monday-Thursday between 12-4pm. These hours may vary due to available staffing or how busy the store is. We reserve the right to decline any walk-ins for the day. 

Appointments are needed for 5+ items and can be taken Monday-Thursday. Please call the store to make an appointment or make one with one of our staff next time you’re in. 

What we look for: 

Encore accepts fashion-forward name-brand, designer and vintage clothing, shoes, purses, and accessories. We take things on a seasonal basis. 

Clothes must be cleaned, pressed, and on hangers. Please check for pilling and stains in armpits, collars, cuffs, and crotch (we hate specifying this, but unfortunately this must be said). 

Pricing: 

We price items at approximately one third of their retail price, but this may vary depending on wear and condition. Please check your account for pricing. 

Once we determine the price of the items, Encore and the consignor will split the profit 50/50 upon the time of sale. 

After 60 days, unsold items are discounted to 50% off. 

After 90 days, unsold items become Encore’s property and are either further discounted or donated. You can choose to pick up your unsold items. You are responsible for keeping track of when your items come due at 90 days.  
Encore reserves the right to discount merchandise for sales and events. 

Managing your account: 

If you are a new consignor, we will email you a link to your online account. If you do not receive one, give us a call and we will resend it. Through this account, you can see the items we consigned, how they were priced, and the expiration dates. 

Payment: 

Cash - If your account balance is less than $20, cash will be issued. 

Check - If your account balance is more than $20, we can issue you a check. You may pick up your check at your convenience. Checks will become void if not cashed within 60 days. 

Our goal is to provide you with a fun and friendly atmosphere by selling high quality merchandise at an affordable price. We look forward to seeing you as a consignor and Encore shopper!
